What is MaKen?
MaKen Studios provide rentable space and resources to interdisciplinary artists, businesses, and manufacturers. The MaKen Studios brand consists of two industrial buildings that sit a block away from each other–aptly named MaKen North and MaKen South–that can accommodate a multitude of businesses and special events. The revival of these two buildings and the talent within are poised to make Kensington a destination for cultural and economic opportunity.
Built in the 1910’s, MaKen Studios South was originally a textile mill before conversion to various industrial uses over the last 50+ years.
